Hmmmmmmm, What meaningful list of 13 things can i amuse you with today? I've done movies, things that make me smile, favorite quotes and i can't remember what else. I'm sure it must have been great though lol. Feel free to just agree here.

I guess I can share some of my 13 favorite "Mommy" memories. That should be good for a laugh or 13.

1. I had Jonathon when i was 17 and I had babysat my cousins and such since i was 12. So i was very comfortable with babies. But when Jonathon had his first dirty diaper in the hospital before we went home, I called a nurse. I was scared to change him. She laughed at me and assured me he would be just fine if i did it myself.

2. My cousins are almost all girls, so i had never realy had to change or bathe a boy before. Everyone warned me that you had to be careful but i thought they were joking about covering that lil hooha up before he could pee on me. They uhhhh...weren't.

3. I've said before my ex was a real jerk. One day he decided that i could have new clothes and he took me shopping.......at target......wile I was trying things on Jonathon had a really runny diaper. I could hear my ex out there waiting for me going " Oh gawd, Oh my gawdddddddd, vanessa get him, hurry up, Oh myyyyyyyy gawd!!!!" I swear if i knew i could have gotten away with it i'd have died laughing. It's funny now though. ( I promise not all my fave memories are potty related lol )

4. Jonathon was about 2 and Daniel was just born and we went to Pizza Hut. I cut Jonathon's pizza up and gave it to him. He got this really funny look on his face and I said " eat it honey", he goes " you eat the shit". Clear as day of course. Cause no kid ever cusses in public quietly right?

5. Daniel was a funny baby. He was either crying or he was laughing. Very seldom in between. Jonathon used to entertain his little brother by smacking the broom on the ground. He'd do that and Daniel would literally fall down laughing. Then he'd pull himself back up and they'd do it all over again. It was so funny to watch.

6. Ash was very much a momma's girl when she was little. When i got pregnant with Tyler she was 5. I knew she wouldn't be happy at all. So i waited as long as i could to tell her. Finally I sat her down and explained I was going to have a baby. her answer........Oh no you are NOT". She was serious too, she decided and that was that.

7. When Ash was born Daniel had a similar attitude. He wasn't ready to give up being the baby. He didn't seem to be upset though til she was actually born. One night my mom and dad came over and i think it was my Mom who said " Daniel can i take your sister home with me?" He didn't say anything and he left the room. We thought he went to play. A few minutes later he comes back dragging her diaper bag stuffed with clothes and diapers spilling out of it and says " here's all her stuff"

8. Daniel used to have hair as white as snow. Literally. We called him cottontop because of it. Women just loved him too cause he had that blonde blonde hair and big blue eyes. I hated taking him shopping though lol. As proud as i was that he was such a pretty baby, i never could just shop!! All the old ladies just had to talk to him and admire him and play with his hair

9. when Ash was born she was really sick and had to be life flighted to another hospital. Not so much because she was so severely sick, but because the only Neonatal doctor we had then was in Iraq in the first Gulf War. Houston had the closest one so they sent her there. My doctor wanted me to spend the night one more night because my blood levels were so low. I told him I was leaving, one way or another. Finally he said that if I'd get a blood transfusion, that he'd agree i could leave. Sooooo, i did it. truthfully i was about to faint anyway. So he finished and told my Mother in law, take her home and she can go see the baby in the morning. I prommmmmmmmised i'd do that. Left the hospital and told my mother in law, " you either take me or i go alone. we were at the hospital with ash within an hour after leaving lol. When i got there i saw she had an IV in her scalp and freaked out. Turned out she kept pulling the IV's out and had to be " handcuffed" to stop her. The scalp was the last place they could put it they said. The doctor told me " You don't need to worry at all about this one, she's tough as nails" and she still is.

10. Tyler was a pretty independent baby. He loved his swing and he loved this little piano. He was about 2 months old i think and this piano was just flat basically and he could scratch his little hands across it and it would play a note. It was sort of like a book but was red and one side looked like piano keys. he would sit there and scratch that thing for as long as he could stay awake if i'd let him but only in his swing. He'd cry if anyone else did it. He had to be propped up with that thing in front of him, with a blanket to keep him from going forward too far and he'd just play and play.

11. Ashley had quite an attitude at a young age. She got into a hitting stage for awhile. She'd hit me and i'd pop her hand lightly and tell her no. She'd hit me back and tell Me, " NO Ma'am, no hit!" lol

12. When Tyler learned to crawl he was a menace lol. One day i was feeling bad and Idiot was supposed to be watching him. I got up a couple hours later and Daniel came and asked me if they could all have an apple. I said yes and the next thing i know is Daniel is crying and having a fit. I go running in there to see what's wrong and he's got all the apples on the floor. Apparently Tyler had crawled to the bag of apples and took a bite out of most of them and put them back in the bag.

13. Tyler was born 2 months premature on the 10th of December. I prayed and prayed for him to be able to come home for Christmas but the doctors all told me to forget it, there was just no way. On the 24th I had gone home to take a shower and get some fresh clothes and before i left the house to go back to the hospital I called to make sure he was okay in the meantime. The nurse told me they'd been trying to get hold of me. We didn't have a car and my sister had just come home from Job Corp. So she was taking me back up so she could also see Tyler. The nurse told me that if i could hurry up and get back up there that Tyler could go on "Care by Mom" and then could go home on Christmas Day. The kids and I spent the night at the hospital in a room with Tyler. When they brought Tyler to us, they brought him in a Huge stocking and Jonathon said "he's the best present we wanted" It was really sweet and it was definitely a wonderful Christmas.
